'The thirst two letters are important'
This campaign from the early 1970s was perhaps trying to be a bit too clever for its own good with the full slogan “Ch Ch Chandy the thirst two letters are important” seeking to carry the ideas that Chandy was a good thirst quencher and that it mattered that you ordered Chandy rather than any old shandy. (Also, though, we can’t help pedantically pointing out that only the first letter is different between Chandy and shandy!)
The “Thirst Two Letters” slogan was used on promotional beer mats, ash trays, beer trays and bar towels as pictured.
